DESIGN

Each coin in this series has been specifically designed for consistent weight while also ensuring that the subject of the original circulation coin remains unaltered in detail and proportions. Emanuel Hahn’s iconic caribou profile, present on the circulation 25-cent piece, is portrayed within its own silhouette. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt and a pattern of caribou silhouettes.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Every day Canadian circulation coins get a whole new life. These pure silver coins transcend their circular boundaries into shapes evoking the silhouette of their iconic reverse designs in celebration of Canada’s classic coinage and minting innovation.
  • Selective 24kt gold plating adds a prestigious glow to the engraved details on the reverse.
  • Features Canadian artist Emanuel Hahn’s iconic caribou design. First issued in 1937, this design has been used continuously on Canadian quarters ever since, with a number of notable exceptions.
